On this page we'll describe some of the interesting and fun activities our organization sponsors. Here are examples of the format we might use.

Children's Summer Performance Camps!
During each camp session, campers will create their own sets, props, and costumes from materials provided, and rehearse their show in preparation for four performances.  Camp runs Monday through Friday.  Performances on the final week run Wednesday through Saturday.

The nonmusical, Kung Fu Kitty, is open to the first 12 students between the ages of 10 and 17.  For the musicals, lead roles will be auditioned before the camp session, but the first 15 campers who register are guaranteed a place in the cast.  Supporting roles will be cast from within the group on the first day of camp.

This fairy tale adaptation is full of adventurous fun and engaging music.  In this show, you’ll meet not one, but three genies, as well as the whimpering "Ali Bubba," and the hen-pecked sultan and his haughty wife.   Aladdin’s mother and sister wish he would stop being such a trickster, but then one day, Aladdin meets Princess Jasmine and falls in love with her. When he enters a secret cave and discovers a mystical lamp, Aladdin transforms himself into a prince and wins the love of the princess, but once again it is through deceit.  When Jammal kidnaps Jasmine and takes the lamp, Aladdin must regain possession of the lamp in order to rescue Jasmine.

COST:
Full-day camps are $450 for 3 full weeks of camp.  Lunch is included.  Tuition also includes costume, cast t-shirt and two tickets to the show.

Kung Fu Kitty - nonmusical
July 5-24, 2010
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Directed by Ilich Guardiola
Assisted by Josh Clark
Performances July 21-24
Ages 10-17

Everybody is kung fu fighting like cats and dogs in this hilarious, action-packed slapstick comedy. Fur (and puns) fly when feisty kitten Princess escapes the clutches of the sinister, catnapping Ting Tang and his hysterical henchcats, then comes under the protection of a mongrel martial arts master and his clumsy canine companions. With the help of the punchy pooches, and after a rousing “training montage,” Princess faces her fears and finds inner strength to defeat (and declaw) her adversary. This is a play and a stage combat class in one!  This madcap comedy has great gags, memorable characters and plenty of opportunities for controlled, choreographed, comical stage combat.

Hansel and Gretel - musical
July 26 - Aug 14, 2010
Camp runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Directed by Josh Clark
Assisted by Teri Clark
Performances Aug 11-14
Ages 6-17

This is a sweet and charming musical adaptation of a favorite fairy tale. Sent into the woods, Hansel and Gretel meet up with a number of peculiar characters. A fiery troll guards his little wooden bridge. Even more, an articulate owl, a forest sprite and two hobgoblins are in the service of an evil (but extremely funny) witch who lives in a candy-coated little cottage. She locks poor Hansel in a cage and feeds him nothing but cake! Everyone will cheer Gretel as she outwits the crone and sets free all the children who have been turned into gingerbread cookies!
