Keep it Moving!

Here is a fun non-threatening introduction to movement, choreography, staging, and motivation for movement.  Increased stage presence will result in overall increased confidence.

“Off the Cuff” Introduction to Improvisation
Taught by David Allen III

Tuesdays, 5:30—6:55 p.m.—$65

A great introduction for older elementary students, with a focus on using improv techniques to create a character and situations.  This class will help kids focus, listen, react and work as part of a team. These are important performance skills.  


Stage Fighting
Taught by Ilich Guardiola

Back by popular demand!  Fight choreography for the elementary students!  Learn to create scenes that are realistic and enhance your shows, without causing injury.  You’ll even get to perform your “fight” at the end of the class.

Audition Preparation

Learn from a professional in the industry how to prepare for a confident audition.  Focus is on monologue selection, song selection, monologue preparation, approach, stage presence.   Class size limited.


Musical Theatre Dance for Men

Learn the style and techniques of musical theatre dance, with special emphasis on Jerome Robbins' choreography, in a class specifically designed for the guys

Spring Break Musical Theatre Express

Monday—Friday, 9:00 am—noon

Grades 7-12
Musical Theatre Express:  Sondheim
Monday—Friday, 1:00—4:00 pm


Intensive work on scenes, songs, and simplified choreography for  several musical numbers by a given composer.  The week finishes with 
two  combined performances on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20,  at  7:00 pm.  Classes taught by Ilich Guardiola and Pamela Moore.   Cost:  $150.

Each child joins a parent in fun games, song activities and simple scenes with a focus on  speaking clearly and loudly, and using the right tone of voice.  A fun and non-threatening introductory theatre class

Confident Auditions

Your child’s speaking ability and confidence will grow as he/she works on simple monologues and scenes.  Auditions don’t have to be scary!


Intro to Musical Theatre II
Taught by Beth Chrisman

Tuesdays, 6:00—6:55 p.m.—$85

Learn how to sing, dance AND act at the same time!  Instruction on vocal technique, simple choreography, and stage presence.  Musical selections are different than previous Musical Theatre class earlier in the semester.

One Minute Monologues

Learn how to select a great monologue, break it down, and work on it in preparation for a showcase presentation.  Great audition preparation, too!
Adventures in Musical Theatre  II
Taught by Beth Chrisman

Thursdays, 6:00—6:55 p.m.—$85
Enjoy singing and dancing to songs from your favorite Broadway shows.  Concludes in a musical performance.  Session is different from previous sessions.

Continue building your improvisation skills as you become more adept at thinking on your feet.  Prerequisite:  Improvisation I or instructor permission.  Final showcase performance. 

“Triple Threat” Musical Theatre Lab II
Taught by Sam Brown/Pamela Moore/Ilich Guardiola
Mondays, 5:30—6:55 p.m.—$120
Designed for students who want to work hard to strengthen their acting/singing/dancing skills. Great for the student who can’t commit to a main stage show right now!  Also does not conflict with main stage rehearsals. Final showcase performance featuring Broadway show tunes.

TUITION AND REGISTRATION POLICIES
Registration is on a first-received, first-enrolled basis until the maximum class size is reached.  If a minimum class size is not reached, you will be refunded in full.  Partial scholarships are available by written application.  Full scholarships are granted only by interview with the student and parent.   Only registered students may attend classes.

REFUND POLICY
There is a non-refundable and non-transferable fee of $35 included in the class fee. To obtain a refund of the balance, you must request a refund in writing before the second day of classes. After that date, no refunds will be given.  This is a group class.  Makeups and refunds cannot be given for classes missed.

BEHAVIOR POLICY: 
Each workshop participant is expected to demonstrate respect to the teacher and to the rest of the participants by fully participating in the class and not becoming a disruption.  If students either refuse to participate or are consistently a behavior problem, we will speak to parents once.  If the behavior continues, the student will be removed from the class.
