Our final show of the 2010-2011 Season
is the always popular Rodgers and Hammerstein smash hit set in the Oklahoma territory
at the turn of the century. Revivals of this popular musical have won nearly every award on Broadway. A perennial
audience favorite, this musical is a perfect close to the HFAC season. 1944 Pulitzer Prize, Two 1955 Academy Awards, One 2002 Tony Award and seven nominations, Four 1999 Laurence Olivier
Awards (London); The New York Drama League
named Oklahoma the "Best Musical of the Century."
Directed by Ilich Guardiola, with choreography
by Ellen Dyer, and musical direction by Sam Brown. Don't miss this high-energy show, with updated staging, intense
verbal sparring, fabulous singing, and athletic dancing and tumbling. Rated PG. Some material may not
be suitable for young children. Children under 3 are not permitted in main stage performances.
