Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Brothers Big Sisters matches children between the ages of 6-15, who are primarily from single-parent families, with volunteer
adult mentors. A recent a comprehensive study of boys and girls involved in a one-to-one mentoring relationship through
the Big Brothers Big Sisters program revealed that they are 46% less likely than their peers to start using illegal drugs,
27% less likely to start drinking, 52% less likely than their peers to skip school, and 30% less likely to hit someone.
Boys and Girls Country Boys and Girls Country of Houston provides children from families in crisis with love, security, a sense of self worth and opportunities
to prepare them for a successful life. In addition to the 88 children who live on campus, Boys and Girls Country supports
26 students who have graduated and are in our College and Career program. We provide financial support for college or
trade school, and a home during college breaks or summer until they are launched into a first job. Established over 31 years ago, the Home is located in northwest Houston
and has served over one thousand children.
DeafBlind Children's Fund The DeafBlind Children’s Fund is dedicated to changing the lives of deafblind children through education, awareness, and advocacy. Their
goal is to ensure every deafblind child is given the ability to fulfill their best potential. . They are making
a lasting difference right now with intervenor teachers, volunteers, and you.

Culture Shapers Culture Shapers is a group of Houston-area businessmen and women who are dedicated to serving student artists in many
ways, including unique visual and performing arts contests. If you attend High School in Harris, Waller, Liberty, Chambers,
Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend or Montgomery counties - you are eligible to compete for more than $100,000 in cash prizes!
Percussion One The
goal of Percussion One is to teach school-aged percussionists to achieve high artistic standards,
stressing excellence in both education and performance, encouraging self-confidence, self-discipline, responsibility and unity
among diversity.

the artist in you or your child. The Artist Within offers Adult, Teen, and Children classes, as well as Summer and Spring Break Camps and Workshops for children ages 4 and
up.
Northwest Assistance Ministries Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) strives to meet basic human needs through neighbors helping neighbors. NAM helped more than 100,000
area residents in need during its last fiscal year. Many NAM clients need more than one type of service and they often need
help from more than one program. NAM staff members work hard to be good stewards of funds NAM receives, and approximately
$.87 of every dollar donated last year went directly toward helping people in need. Of the people NAM assisted, 51 percent
were children and senior citizens.
